Kruger National Park

It is without a doubt the jewel in the crown of the country. With more than 19000 square km, this park is a top 3 of the continent without discussion.

No trip to South Africa would be complete without at least spending 3 nights in this wonder of nature. It measures 65 kms of width by 350 kms in length. There are several rivers that cross the park but no doubt Limpopo is its main artery. More than 2000 species of plants, 6 different ecosystems and 147 species of mammals have been recorded. In addition the park encompasses more than 250 cultural points listed as historical. Probably Kruger Park is the better managed park of Africa and, no doubt, to the most visited of the continent (about 1.5 million people a year). It is home to the Big 5 and is probably the best place in the continent for the observation of the white rhino.
